Last night was a great night for football for neutrals and club fans alike. The atmosphere was impressive as Real Madrid and Manchester United (both title contenders in their respective leagues) went toe to toe in the European Champions League at the Santiago Bernabeu. The match ended in a 1-1 draw with a goal each from  Christiano Ronaldo (who obviously enjoyed scoring against his former team, but probably didn’t celebrate much out of respect) for Madrid, and Danny Welbeck for United.

Out of nine games played, Madrid have won three and lost two. Four of the matches were draws. While Madrid remains unbeaten at home, they beat United at Old Trafford 3-2 in 2000.

Real Madrid will play their away match on the 5th of March at Old Trafford.
