However, if you want real sporting updates you won’t find them here. Instead, we bring you a few tasty non-sporting highlights.

  • The infamous Eko 2012 twitter account is still bollocks and the administrator is clearly clueless as to how to run a twitter account.
  • Team Lagos launched a funky website; making them the team to beat when it comes to social awareness at these games.
  • Power cuts plague the boxing matches and crowds complain of lack of adequate ventilation in the National Stadium’s gymnasium. Thousands of people, no ventilation and presumably minimal use of deodorant. Hmmm, fun!
  • And in totally unsurprising news it is alleged states participating in the boxing tournament have been hiring boxers from Benin Republic to compete and represent their states. Business as usual in the fraud capital of Africa.

Rivers State leads the medal tables with 13 medals. Delta State follows with 12 medals and Lagos State is in third position with 9 medals.Team Lagos comes in first when it comes to popularity and home support, which everyone knows is all that really matters anyway.
